The ramblings of a demented eBay buyer
First, I ought to note that Pre-Order Pushers is updating again after a brief hiatus. I feel I ought to point this out because it's an amusing site and because Nathan Smart, one of the editors, actually left a comment pointing out that they were updating on a post that I made a while back, when they had stopped briefly.
I have a love/hate relationship with eBay. I love that I can get all kinds of stuff, no matter how obscure. I hate that, once I start buying, I find it nigh on impossible to stop. Everything that I've bought on my recent little spree has been in some way justified, though the justification keeps getting weaker.
A while back, I bought a big lot of Sega Mega Drive games which have been taking up shelf space ever since. I'm currently in the process of sifting through all the stuff, taking out what I want, and looking into selling what remains on eBay. I can't remember precisely what the whole bundle cost me but I think it was around £30 if that is the case, then I may be able to make back about half of that from these other games. Could be interesting, could be a waste of effort and money, only time will tell.
I suspect that I'll have more eBay experiences to relate over the coming weeks since it seems to have become a bit of a summer holiday habit for me over the last couple of years.
On a completely different note, I introduced Sam to Firefly today and I think it says something about why that show was a success when, every time a new character came on screen, I had to say "they're a badass". I really like that show.
Speaking of Sam, he and I finally got round to doing something about VersusCOM. It's not much, just some Proboards forums but it's a start and maybe, just maybe, it bodes well for the future.
I'll end where I began, talking about eBay again (I'm not counting the first paragraph, primarily because I don't want to). While on an eBay spree, particularly one where old games consoles are the purchase of choice, looking at the back of Retro Gamer magazine is a very bad idea. You are liable to come across such items as this.
