About TheWorldToday

Hello, and welcome to The World Today, a blog written by James “Skippy” Chalmers and Alasdair “[Nickname withheld.]” Corbett. We already have our own sites for our various hobbies (Skippy writes MacTake and Alasdair runs VersusCOM with Sam Stafford), so this blog is primarily for those random little thoughts that seem really profound at 1:00 am and that don't fit anywhere else.

Ideally, we'll be updating every day with a small comic of some sort on Saturdays. We promise nothing other than that this will not turn into a blog for news on any particular topic and that it will not turn into a whiny “my-life-sucks-more-than-your-life” blog. We have medication to stop that.

Why “TheWorldToday”? Skippy had the url and we both wanted a blog. That's it. We will never answer that question again.

Anyway, as per Skippy's original draft of this post (pretty much the only part of it which remains) some quick bio information written by each of us:

James Chalmers, works at Dunhenry, loves his iMac, has a tendency for long pointless delimited lists, runs the MacTake blog and really, really likes cake.

Alasdair Corbett, kind of does a podcast, kind of runs a website, kind of writes a webcomic. Hates many, many things, likes video games and Doctor Who.
